The Ken Saro-Wiwa Memorial Park is a project of the Ken Saro-Wiwa Memorial Foundation. It is presently funded by the Wiwa Family, with contribution from FOWA-USA. The Park has the burial site of Ken Saro-Wiwa and when completed, will extend to the nearby river with a mangrove forest and wetland area. The Land on which the Ken Saro-Wiwa Park sits was donated by the Bane Community in Khana Local Government Area of Ogoni. Apart from the beautiful flowers and trees. The Park will house Library, Museum, hall and the exhibition centre. Visitors to the Park can expect to experience and appreciate the beauty of nature. Find space to learn, meditate and hopefully yield to Inspiration from the comminity that produced a man of ideas. As you go through the Park, spare a movement to reflect on the inherent beauty of the Ogoni environment. Think about the industry and vibrant culture of the Ogoni people. Breathe in the fresh air and the fragrance of the flowers and say “never again”
